Adopt A Town Relieving Drought In NSW

The impact of the drought in the Upper Hunter region of NSW left many farmers without stock, feed or the means to feed their families. Through the Adopt a Town initiative, Rotarians from Turramurra visited the area, provided vouchers redeemable in local businesses, helped manage a community bike ride and a Cuban dance event, all to help people get back on their feet. Co-President of Turramurra Rotary Club, Dr Parry Monckton explains who they met, what was needed and how it came about.

Recorded 15 May 2020.
